LONDON, August 22, 2019 - U.S. based aircraft broker Lone Mountain Aircraft (LMA) is expanding its footprint into Europe. Lone Mountain President Mark Rogers announced Monday that Philippe Polman will be joining LMA’s team as its first-ever European-based representative. Polman is based in London.
Rogers opened LMA in 2008 and since then the company has served thousands of clients in the purchasing or selling of their aircraft. Specializing in high-performance, technologically advanced aircraft, Lone Mountain staff are spread throughout the U.S. and have broad experience across various aircraft from piston-singlet o super mid-size jets.
“We have always stood by the belief that acquiring or selling an aircraft should be turbulence-free. We are excited to provide that peace-of-mind to more European aircraft owners while giving them access to a global market,” said Rogers.
According to Polman, a factor that makes Lone Mountain unique is its sole-focus on pre-owned aircraft.
“Our dedication to the pre-owned market provides many advantages to owners, one being that we often take aircraft in on trade - not necessarily contingent on a purchase,” said Polman.
International experience is nothing new for Lone Mountain or Polman. According to Rogers, Lone Mountain has assisted in international transactions many times while Polman, originally from Switzerland, has been a part of the general aviation world in both markets for nearly 20 years.
In addition to his position as Lone Mountain’s European representative, Polman is director of Elite Aero Services, a premium flight school and aviation business consultancy. Polman founded Elite Aero following several years as the London-based sales director for Cirrus Aircraft, where he expanded the company’s client support capabilities in Europe, developed new sales strategies and built a broad network of relationships to benefit aircraft owners and pilots.
He is also the founder of the London Flying Club, bringing together aviators for networking events in central London, UK. In addition to his career in aviation, Polman has a global background in corporate communications, with experience across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.
“This is an exciting time for general aviation in Europe and there is significant potential for growth in the pre-owned market,” said Polman. “I’m delighted to join forces with Lone Mountain to deepen the company’s premium level of service to European clients. Lone Mountain’s U.S. branch provides a host of services in addition to brokerage, including financing and insurance partners to help clients in their ownership journey. We want to bring the same level of care to this market as well.”
