Oviedo, FL. – Levil Aviation is excited to announce The Beacon. A 978MHz Universal Access Transmitter designed for Experimental and Light Sport aircraft to meet the ADS-B out requirements. The Beacon integrates all essential components inside an antenna shaped casing that mounts on the outside of the aircraft. The simpler and smarter design makes for a less invasive product, minimizing installation time and cost, addressing pilot’s biggest challenges when trying to comply with the 2020 mandate. It will be available for purchase in late July at the 2017 EAA Airventure show.
Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) system is the next generation of air traffic control. It allows pilots to broadcast their position to both ground stations and other aircraft around, making aviation safer. Aircraft owners that do not have compatible avionics are then forced to upgrade their panels and invest in new technology just to be able to meet the mandate. The Beacon addresses this problem and allows EA pilots to have an all-in-one solution that eliminates the need to upgrade avionics AND its smart design allows Levil to cut on production costs, making it available to consumers at a lower price than any existing solution in the market today. Levil Aviation always strives to enhance our current products by always looking for ways to add functionality and usefulness to the instruments we manufacture. As a company that is owned and operated by pilots, for pilots, we try to add features that we feel would make the overall flying experience safer, informative, and fun.
Why the Beacon as your ADS-B OUT solution?
• It allows pilots to broadcast their position to both ground stations and other aircraft around, making aviation safer.
• Allows EA pilots to have an all-in-one solution that eliminates the need to upgrade avionics.
• Available to consumers at a lower price than any existing solution in the market today.
• Minimized installation time and cost with an integrated circuit board, altimeter encoder, WAAS GPS, and wireless sniffer.
• Combining low cost, easy installation, and practicality make the Beacon one of the top competitors in the ADS-B market.
Levil Technology/Aviation is a family oriented, Central Florida based company established in 1999 dedicated to the design and manufacture of desktop CNC Milling Machines and aviation instrumentation.
Ruben D. Leon, founder and president of Levil Technology has dedicated most of his life creating innovative solutions within the automation world and the aerospace community. After his first successful homebuilt project, a Varieze, Ruben and his brother built the first experimental Twin-Cozy to cross an average of 1500 miles from Venezuela to the AirVenture Oshkosh in 1998 using 2 Susuki engines with counter-rotating propellers. Weight was an issue when so many "steam" gauges were needed to safely monitor both engines in such a small plane, leading to the search of an affordable and reliable glass cockpit for the twin. After constant disappointment Ruben decided to design an All-in-one custom AHRS-EMS system that would enable him to have control over calibration, broader probe's compatibility and instrument versatility.
Levil Aviation emerged after the growing interest of third party aviation companies, and we now manufacture the finest stand-alone AHRS in the market for a number of companies. What drives us is the passion to create innovative products, and what stands us apart is the ability to deliver high quality products at a competitive price with guaranteed customer satisfaction. Levil Aviation developed the first iPad compatible AHRS for General Aviation and is now opening the doors to the experimental and light-sport community with the new iLevil series, which combined for the first time, AHRS and ADS-B technology. We are proud to bring innovative and reliable technology every day and continue offering outstanding customer service around the world.
