Trade-A-Plane joins Companies from Around the Globe at AERO Friedrichshafen

This recently restored Junkers monoplane was one of the earliest practical “Executive” transports.

The 2018 edition of AERO Friedrichshafen is underway with sunny skies, strong crowds and over 600 exhibitors. Companies from all over the world gather in the beautiful Bodensee region to display their wares and make new contacts. Friedrichshafen has a great aviation tradition that dates back to the earliest days of flight. Count Zeppelin (Graf Zeppelin) built and flew his first airships here, and the area also included early aviation pioneers like Dornier. The Zeppelin company is still active in Friedrichshafen as is Dornier, though now part of Airbus.

The Messe Friedrichshafen is one of the loveliest convention facilities in the world. Located directly adjacent to the airport, the facility and location are ideal for a major aviation event. The multiple great exhibit halls of the facility feature lots of natural light, and unique wood truss vaulting. The beautiful wooden truss structures are patterned after the great floating zeppelin hangars built by Graf Zeppelin.
